Life With Frank

I just can't deny how much damage this super typhoon cause. Especially here in Iloilo. I am one of th lucky people that have the time to talk about this on the net while the others have their connections floating in water. A lot of things happened before the unexpected BAGYO occurred. I thought it was just a typical June rain patikim just like last year. I wentout attend meetings and events. I even attended Senator Biazon's convocation in my school since small raindrops visited Iloilo. I even have some engagement for the day after. My day in school end when brown-out occurred. I went to my boarding house since my sister was scared to death. She told me to buy flashlight eventhough the light and power was back and other stuff with her but I said, I was so tired but then I went with her and thought that the brown-out might come back. That was a lucky move. In the morning, the rain was pouring, there;s no light and only the flashlight was functioning. The DJ hunt that I was supposed to judge was cancelled and the am radio from the other room was buzzing. There I thought something was really wrong. I was dying to write blogs again but I wasn't expecting to write about this. THE SUPER TYPHOON FRANK arrived. It was not pleasant. Pavia and Sta. Barbara was drown, people are already on their roofs waiting for rescue. People in Jaro are suffering because of flood. Pototan was brutally damaged. In one second, Iloilo was in Signal Number One then just a small hours later Signal Number Two and in several minutes Signal Number Three then a few hours in a severe State of Calamity. Me, my sister Jessa and boardmate Julie was listening over the radio and hear all the news but no news from our families. Julie is from Kalibo. No communications since people don't have power that means no celphone batteries. Number of dead people increase in statistics. From 10, to 30 and to whooping 49-60 in Iloilo alone. Moshe arrived in our boarding house to contact his Mom. Eevee arrived from being stranded in Eli's house for the night since the rain was too hard. I was happy we are all safe. I will tell you more by telling by friends' stories.

Pamela is from Pavia. Pavia was greatly affected by the typhoon. Their house was covered by water and there was no dry things inside it. Worst, her 8 month old nephew got lost. Lost in site when the water came rushing inside there house. She was depressed. The whole family was.

Eli is from Kalibo. He can't calm down due to pressure that his family hadn't contacted him yet. We were staying in his house here in Iloilo hoping to help out each other. But the moment, his relatives contacted him, he broke down and cry. His house was rushed by flood. All their properties including car and appliances were damaged. His dad was sick when the typhoon came in. He was worried about them but glad they were okay. Still, he was worried how to bring everything they had back.

Julie is also from Kalibo. She was the last one to be contacted by her family. It ends up when she called her mom and ask about the situation. They were all okay but there house was submerge in water including their car. Material things was okay to lose but the work you put into it was crashing.

Moshe is my boyfriend. He is from Pototan. I never knew something was bothering him because he was acting he was okay. He still have time to laugh with me. His reason was to avoid me from being worried. Their house was sliced in half. No appliances were saved. Thankfully, his mom and younger sister vacated the place before is crashed. But the house they stayed in, the house of his Tita Sol was also submerged in water. Luckily again, they have a second floor. Bubbles, his rottweiller drowned.

Me and my sister had an interesting story. We are here together in our boarding house in Iloilo while my mom and dad is in Pototan. My tita's house there collapsed and my lola's house was flooded. They evacuated in Mina Church for the night. I was slightly worried for them because I know they can take good care of each other but what worried me most id m younger brother, who is in Roxas City and with our helper. I haven't receive a news from him.

Our story was not major unlike those cold corpse lying with mud. I am praying for those who was killed by Frank and the people who lived and have their lives ruined.

Those time passed and we are hoping to get over it all. I wish. You? What did FRANK did to you?
